I've just taken some of Nero Di Lupo Cos. Anyone have any suggestions of what food might match well?
I ws offered a taste of the 2007 COS Pithos in-store, which Plamen was honest enough to pronounce a little disappointing compared to the previous vintage. He recommended I try this 100% Nero d'Avola instead, and I was very happy I did...
It has the same light-footedness and charm as its amphora-fermented sibling, but was much fuller on the palate, not suffering from the surprisingly abrupt finish of the Pithos.
In short: highly recommended, for those who like refreshing, aromatic, lively wines - i.e. anyone with good taste!
This wine tastes a lot better than the name and price imply.
Crisp and minerally, with rich fruit flavours , it's a good value (especially for an organic wine).
