Customer Reviews

  1. Classic Arzuaga Review by Xavier (Posted on 22/11/2011)

I've been following this wine since vintage 1996. Consistently Arzuaga Crianza has been my favourite Spanish wine. This vintage is not an exception although 2006 was the one I liked most. Sweet fruit with a medium bodied mouthfeel. Ripe and oaky palate.

  2. Excellent stuff. Review by Monk (Posted on 27/10/2010)

Rich nose with dark blackberry, cigar box, and exotic spices. Slightly toasty and sappy on the palate. The oak is quite prominent but it did not bother me so much this time.

  3. Beautiful deep and rich Review by Mstislav Rostropovich (Posted on 05/10/2010)

Amazing QPR for such a rich robust Ribera del Duero. Rich, dark, black cherry and lots of smoky oak.

  4. Supple-textured wine with ripe, spicy blue and black fruits and light tannin. Review by Remy S. (Posted on 07/12/2009)

Deeply colored, the wine reveals a complex aromatic display of cedar, saddle leather, violets, lavender, blueberry, and blackberry. The wine is well-balanced and has excellent concentration.

  5. Amazing place to visit. Review by VVV (Posted on 25/08/2009)

We visited the winery and the game reserve last summer which is near the village of Quintanilla de Onésimo, 20 minutes away from the spectacular crusader castle in Peñafiel. We stayed in the stunning hacienda-style "wine hotel"! Tasted a lot of their wines, the perfect holiday.

  6. Very Enjoyable Review by Spaniard (Posted on 17/12/2008)

Rich example of a near-perfect Crianza from Ribera del Duero. Tons of black currants and blackberries.

  7. Arzuaga or Vega Sicilia Review by JohnW (Posted on 18/09/2008)

My all time favourite Spanish red from Ribera del Duero. Silky smooth and delicious! An alternative to the highly priced Vega Sicilia.

Tasting Notes/Products Information

Arzuaga Crianza is produced from a very old Tempranillo vines with the help of Cabernet and Merlot and polished by American oak, the wine is a shocking perfect integration between ripe black cherry and blackberry fruit and sweet spice. Claret like.

Love the rhubarb drink.
Review by Geoff (Posted on 27/01/2012)

Love the rhubarb drink. Reminds me of ratafia. Do you think this would work with honey as the sweetener?
