Customer Reviews

  1. Sipping it Review by Savoy (Posted on 12/04/2010)

Intensely fruity and complex on the nose, with hints of wood full-bodied, rich and complex in the mouth with exceptional structure and a lengthy finish.

  2. Robert Parker 92 points Review by Plamen (Posted on 12/04/2010)

The 2006 Tignanello is especially opulent in this vintage. Masses of dark red fruit, scorched earth and sweet oak emerge as this richly-textured Tignanello flows from the glass. The wine possesses superb density; all it needs is another few years to come together. This is a remarkably vibrant and primary Tignanello. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024. This is a beautiful set of wines from Antinori. All of these new releases are dense, primary and endowed with tons of fruit. At the same time, the firm tannins require at least a few years of aging to allow them to start melting away. The estate’s 2006s are beautiful, but they don’t appear to possess the elegance of the superb 2004s.

  3. Good price Review by Prince Williams (Posted on 10/12/2009)

I've seen this for sixty quid in Majestic.

  4. Superb wine! Review by SAKolo (Posted on 23/09/2009)

Very full bodied with lots of cigar box, black cherries and plums. I've read this vintage also has a bit of Cabernet Franc gives it nice herby notes. Bought another bottle right away.

  5. Four Words Review by TheFourWordsWineReviewer (Posted on 03/02/2009)

    Mama Mia it's Tignanello

Tasting Notes/Products Information

Open, expressive aromas combining ripe red fruit and spicy notes. The palate is weighty, dense and vibrant with hints of black berry fruit. Long and lingering with hints of chocolate and citrus fruit in the aftertaste. With a fine texture and seamless oak integration, this is complex and sophisticated.

Anticipated maturity: 2014-2024

Review by Atlanta Symphony Orchestra (Posted on 28/07/2010)

If you are of the inpatient type as me, do NOT buy this wine now. It needs loads of time. Although young, it is nicely structured and integrated fruit and tannins.
